UFC star Shogun Rua 'oil checks' Paul Craig by shoving fingers up rival's BUM during fight leaving fans in shock

UFC legend Mauricio 'Shogun' Rua used an 'oil check' against Brit Paul Craig in their rematch.

The pair fought on the UFC 255 undercard, a year after they drew.

Scotland's light-heavyweight Craig got the victory via second round stoppage.

But he was given a shock after crafty veteran Shogun oil checked him – the act of putting his fingers inside his opponent's anus.

The move – which is legal – has a range of purposes, one is to shock and make the victim uncomfortable.

Or it can be used to gain leverage, putting the opponent in a more advantageous position.

Fans were left shocked following the move, but Craig seemed unfazed and even cracked a joke after his win.

He said: "Normally someone would have to take me for a meal before they done that.

"It was exhilarating, it gave me a wee spring in my step."

Despite Craig's impressive finish win, Shogun's vintage tactics emerged the talking point of the fight.

One said: "I’ve seen it all. A legend giving the ole’ oil check."

Another said: "Joe Rogan can’t get over this oil check."

One added: "He shouldn’t have hit Craig with the oil check haha."

Oil tanker surrounded after reports of attempted hijacking off coast of England

Authorities have surrounded an oil tanker after reports of an attempted hijacking off the coast of the Isle of Wight, according to news reports.

The massive 42,000-ton Liberian oil tanker Nave Andromeda was due to arrive in Britain’s Southhampton port Sunday afternoon but was being contained off the coast of the island after a distress call around 9 a.m. local time, the Telegraph reported.

“We are aware and dealing with an ongoing incident on board a vessel which is situated south of the Isle of Wight,” Hampshire police told the outlet. “The search and rescue helicopters from Lee on Solent and Lydd are in attendance.”

The 748-foot tanker, built in 2011, sailed from Lagos, Nigeria, about two weeks ago.

Unconfirmed reports have suggested some stowaways attempted to take over the ship, the Guardian reported.

The crew is reportedly sheltered somewhere on board after putting out the distress call, according to the Mirror.

The tanker is now moored in the English Channel while the Coast Guard had placed a five-nautical-mile restriction around the vessel, which is about four miles off the coast of the island, The Sun reported.

“The relevant units will be looking at options as to what we can do,” Bob Seely, a local member of Parliament, told the outlet.

This formula is also made up of a powerful group of essential oils, including soothing eucalyptus, anti-inflammatory grapefruit, antioxidant-rich grapeseed and complexion-toning lemon. The winning combination may help to “firm, tighten, tone and regenerate” our skin. It also creates a lovely citrus scent!

To use this oil, we should always start off with wet skin, so have it on hand after a shower or bath. This will help the oil to absorb better, locking in the moisture, while on dry skin, it may have trouble penetrating the surface. Massage until it’s absorbed, then continue on with your day! We love that this is an oil instead of a cream. It just feels that much more luxe!

This oil, which is made in the USA, is a game-changer if we’ve ever seen one. A cellulite treatment that reviewers say actually works? What once seemed impossible is now a reality, and we can experience it for ourselves for year-long smoothness — and happiness!

Stock futures, oil prices sink after Trump tests positive for coronavirus

U.S. stock futures and Asian shares fell Friday after President Donald Trump said he and first lady Melania Trump had tested positive for the new coronavirus.

The future contracts for both the S&P 500 and the Dow industrials lost 1.9%. Oil prices also slipped.

Trump tweeted news of his test results just hours after the White House announced that senior aide Hope Hicks had come down with the virus after traveling with the president several times this week.

“To say this potentially could be a big deal is an understatement,” Rabobank said in a commentary. “Anyway, everything now takes a backseat to the latest incredible twist in this US election campaign.”

Trading in Asia was thin, with markets in Shanghai and Hong Kong closed. The Nikkei 225 index shed strong early gains, losing 0.8% to 22,999.75 after the Tokyo Stock Exchange resumed trading following an all day outage due to a technical failure.

Reports that the Japanese government is preparing new stimulus measures to help the economy recover from a prolonged downturn worsened by the coronavirus pandemic provided only a temporary lift. Prices fell further after Trump’s announcement.

Australia’s benchmark S&P/ASX 200 slipped 1% to 5,815.90. Shares in Singapore, Thailand and Indonesia also fell.

On Thursday, the benchmark S&P 500 ended the day 0.5% higher, at 3,380.80, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.1% to 27,816.90 and the Nasdaq composite rose 1.4% to 11,326.51, as big tech-oriented stocks propped up the market, much as they have through the pandemic.

Such big swings have become typical recently, as investors handicap the chances of a deal on Capitol Hill to send more cash to Americans, restore jobless benefits for laid-off workers and deliver assistance to airlines and other industries hit particularly hard by the pandemic.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin continued their talks on Thursday, but no breakthrough arrived before stock trading ended on Wall Street. Instead, there were only hopes that were periodically raised and dashed as government officials took turns criticizing each other.

“Things remain fluid; we all know what is at stake if this deal does not go through before markets sundown, it is unlikely to be pretty ugly,” Stephen Innes of Axi said in a commentary.

Beyond potential political developments, investors will be watching for job figures due out Friday. Data released Thursday painted a mixed picture for the economy, with one report showing the number of workers filing for unemployment benefits last week fell to 837,000 from 873,000. That was less than economists expected, but incredibly high compared with before the pandemic.

Consumer spending was higher than forecast in August, which is key because it’s the main driver of the U.S. economy. But personal incomes weakened by more than expected last month, and growth in the country’s manufacturing sector also fell short of forecasts.

With airlines and other major companies announcing layoffs and furloughs, another round of economic aid from Congress is seen as crucial. Treasury Secretary Stephen Mnuchin and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi have worked effectively together in the past, helping to drive through the previous economic rescue approved by Congress in March. But the country’s deepening partisan divide has stymied progress, with the presidential election only about a month away.

The yield on the 10-year Treasury fell to 0.66% from 0.67% late Thursday.

U.S. benchmark crude lost $1.08 to $37.64 per barrel in electronic trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange. It gave up $1.50 to $38.72 on Thursday. Brent crude, the international standard, lost $1.05 to $39.88 per barrel.

The dollar weakened to 105.05 Japanese yen from 105.54 yen. The euro weakened to $1.1731 from $1.1747.

This is how using carrier oil will affect your skin

If you’re a fan of using essential oils for health and wellness, you may have heard the term “carrier oil” with reference to applying essential oils directly onto the skin — but did you know there are varied benefits and major differences between the carrier oils? Choosing the right type is important when it comes to personalizing your routine for your exact skincare and wellness needs.

Why do you need a carrier oil in the first place? While using pure essential oils in a diffuser for aromatherapy is perfectly fine, essential oils are generally too concentrated to be used directly on the skin without risk of skin irritation or burning (via Byrdie). So if you plan to use essential oils for skincare, haircare, nail care, or as part of a massage or other therapeutic body regimen, it’s important that a carrier oil is used to both dilute and suspend the essential oil of choice.

In fact, carrier oils can be used on their own for beauty and health benefits. Hope Gillerman, essential oil formulator and founder of H. Gillerman Organics told Byrdie: “Unrefined, unbleached, unfiltered oils expressed with minimal heat retain more of the nutrients of oil found in the nut, seed, or fruit. They are loaded with essential fatty acids and vitamins that help nurture skin health and promote healing.” Common carrier oils include rosehip, jojoba, vitamin E, sunflower, olive, and coconut.

Carrier oils provide a host of health benefits for your skin

According to Healthline, each carrier oil has properties and benefits that may be better suited to particular skin types or concerns. Jojoba oil absorbs easily into the skin without clogging pores and may help reduce excess oil production. Meanwhile, unrefined coconut oil, which is edible, contains fatty acids called polyphenols that nourish the skin. Note: Avoid refined coconut oil, which has been processed with heat and often other additives that alter it and reduce benefits.

Apricot seed oil is high in fatty acids and vitamin E and can help calm and soften irritated skin by absorbing quickly. Sweet almond oil has similar benefits and uses, though it has a stronger aroma. Extra virgin olive oil is full of fatty acids and plant sterols, which make it ideal for cleansing and moisturizing dry skin, though its scent can sometimes mask the smell of certain essential oils (via Medical News Daily).

Argan oil is also rich in vitamins A and E and monounsaturated fatty acids that can help treat dry skin and hair, wrinkles, and skin inflammation. Rosehip oil is high in vitamins C and A, which is a natural retinoid that helps combat wrinkles, sun damage, and other signs of skin aging. Blackseed oil is rich in unsaturated and saturated fatty acids and is thought to have anti-inflammatory abilities, so it helps soothe acne, eczema, and psoriasis (via Healthline).

How to mix carrier oils with your essential oils

When mixing your essential oils with carrier oils, it is important to get the dilution rate right to prevent irritation and maximize effectiveness. Per AromaWeb, a safe dilution rate for adults is around 2 percent. To achieve this formula, The National Association for Holistic Aromatherapy recommends using 6 teaspoons of carrier oil as your base; then add 15 drops of essential oil for a roughly 2.5 percent dilution. It is important to note that if the solution is for a child, you should use no higher than .5 or 1 percent dilution, which is 3 to 6 drops of essential oil for 6 teaspoons of carrier oil.

Also, before you use your carrier oil/essential oil combo on yourself or someone else, make sure there isn’t any type of allergic reaction by doing a patch test (via Healthline). You can do this by adding a small amount of the combo to the inside of your wrist or just below your ear (sensitive skin areas) and covering with a bandage. If after about 24hours there is no reaction, you should be good to go.
