'The Ellen DeGeneres Show': Ellen DeGeneres Embarrassed Nicole Kidman for Insinuating She Had a Crush on Her Co-Star

Actor Nicole Kidman has visited The Ellen DeGeneres Show a number of times — and Ellen DeGeneres loves to poke fun. After the success of HBO’s Big Little Lies, Kidman visited the talk show to what it was like working with Alexander Skarsgård as her on-screen abusive husband. And DeGeneres totally embarrassed Kidman by insinuating that Kidman assuredly had a crush on him.

Nicole Kidman wanted Alexander Skarsgård to star in ‘Big Little Lies’

Kidman never could’ve imagined Big Little Lies would attain the success that it did. But it certainly thrust her and all of her famous co-stars into the spotlight. She and Skarsgård made the perfect husband-wife duo on the show, as their troubling marriage played out until the final gut-punch of an ending.

It seems Kidman desperately wanted Skarsgård as her on-screen husband, too. “Yeah, he was so good,” she told Vulture. “I wanted him! I wanted him badly. I was like, ‘Come on, please. Come on, HBO, we’ve gotta get him.’”

Kidman continued on and explained why having the Swedish actor by her side was perfect for the show. “He’s obviously got that ability to pull you in and hold you, and he breaks down, you know?” she added. “He has that whole fragility to him as well — so this sort of dominance and then this fragility; it’s a weird mix. And, obviously, he’s very tall as well, which is really, really helpful for me. It’s not often that I look small.”

Ellen DeGeneres insinuated Kidman had a crush on Skarsgård

It’s clear Kidman is quite fond of Skarsgård — and it certainly didn’t slip past DeGeneres. Kidman visited The Ellen DeGeneres Show in 2017 to discuss the show and her role. And, of course, the topic of her co-star came up.

“The tone of it’s really interesting,” Kidman says of the show. “Because it’s funny, yet it’s scary. … And it makes you, hopefully, emotionally, you’re attached to these women.”

“And Alexander Skarsgård is your husband,” DeGeneres clarifies. “And he’s fantastic.”

“Yes,” Kidman laughs. And she then notes that DeGeneres is giving her a very specific look. “Why are you looking that way?”

“Why are you looking that way?” DeGeneres countered at Kidman’s embarrassment. “I’m saying that he’s fantastic. What’s wrong with you?”

“‘Cause everyone always asks me about him,” Kidman added.

DeGeneres verified she wasn’t going to ask Kidman any questions — but she then projected a large photo of Skarsgård shirtless in the background. The comedian then noted that Skarsgård no longer looks like the shirtless photo, and Kidman agreed.

Kidman had to defend herself after kissing Skarsgård at the Emmy Awards

This is far from the only time Kidman was asked about Skarsgård. Kidman also visited The Graham Norton Show, and she was questioned about a photo that shows her kissing Skarsgård on the lips at the Emmy Awards. Kidman’s husband, Keith Urban, can be seen behind Kidman in the photo as well.

“You are so provocative, Graham,” Kidman said. “Why are you showing that?”

“It’s a lovely moment of celebration, though,” Graham Norton defended.

“I kissed my husband, too!” she exclaimed. She then verified that she did kiss Skarsgård, but it wasn’t in a romantic way. “You got to understand, I did everything with Alex ….”

“We saw it!” Norton joked.

“I’ve got an amazing, supportive, gorgeous husband whom I love more than anything in the world,” Kidman noted. “And I gave Alex a congratulatory kiss and he’s like … a mannequin.” Kidman then regretted calling her co-star a mannequin with the eruption of audience laughter.

No matter how many times Kidman gets teased about Skarsgård, it’s clear they’re really nothing more than co-stars and friends.

Magic Johnson Says Lakers Made Kobe Bryant 'Very Proud in Heaven' with NBA Title Win

Magic Johnson has some great memories of late NBA legend Kobe Bryant to hold on to.

While appearing on The Ellen DeGeneres Show Thursday afternoon, the five-time NBA champion spoke about some of his favorite moments with Bryant, who died in a helicopter crash in January, along with the 41-year-old's 13-year-old daughter, Gianna, and seven others.

Johnson, 61, recalled was giving Bryant some advice ahead of the 2010 NBA Finals between the Los Angeles Lakers and Boston Celtics. He also opened up about details of the sweet exchange the pals shared after the Lakers dominated the Celtics in Game 7 that year.

"I think just winning all the championships," Johnson told host Ellen DeGeneres. "I told him when we faced the Boston Celtics … I told him, 'The hardest championship you would ever win is beating the Boston Celtics.' "

"So, right after we won that Game 7, he hugged me and said, ‘Man, Magic, you were right. This is so difficult to beat these Boston Celtics because they never beat themselves.’ And we had so many great moments like that — just us — him and I together," the retired NBA star said, adding, "talking about business, talking about life, talking about being husbands, being fathers. I enjoyed every single moment, just talking to Kobe."

Johnson also touched on the stellar year for sports in Los Angeles, with the Lakers bringing home another NBA Championship title and then the Los Angeles Dodgers securing their first World Series in 32 years.

"32 years! It took us a long time. But, you know, I was actually a part of, 32 years ago, when my Lakers won the NBA championship and the Dodgers won 1988," said Johnson, who is a co-owner of the Dodgers. "And now, just winning this year, again both teams — it was great for the city."

The former Laker went on to praise his team for the work they put in while at the NBA bubble in Florida this season.

"The Lakers went down there on a mission. They dedicated the season to Kobe Bryant and his beautiful daughter, who both passed away. They made Kobe very proud in heaven, and I’m sure he was just so happy with what the boys did … winning the NBA championship," he said.

"We still miss him, all basketball fans, all Lakers fans. We still miss Kobe Bryant and just hope his wife and his other daughters are doing fine," Johnson added.

Johnson recently spoke to PEOPLE about the Lakers' big win, saying it was well deserved after this past year.

"The Lakers winning the NBA Championship means so much to the city of Los Angeles," he said. "To lose Laker legend Kobe Bryant early this year and then deal with the many effects of COVID-19, this was a tough year for Lakers to rise and win."

'The Ellen DeGeneres Show': Ellen DeGeneres Embarrassed Adam Levine for a Hypocritical Statement He Posted to Twitter

We know Adam Levine best for the work he’s done as Maroon 5’s frontman, but he’s also been a major player in the development of The Voice. Back in 2013, he visited The Ellen DeGeneres Show to talk about all of his accomplishments. And it seems he added creating a celebrity fragrance to the list.

Unfortunately, Ellen DeGeneres had to call Levine out after Levine once stated how much he hates when celebrities create perfumes and colognes. Here’s what happened.

Adam Levine shared his fragrances with Ellen DeGeneres on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’

Levine achieved superstardom thanks to his band and his participation in network TV. But he’s certainly not finished branching out. He developed his own fragrance back in 2013, according to New York Business Journal.

“Both fragrances were shaped by Adam’s discerning nose, while the bottles and packaging reflect his particular aesthetic sensibilities,” ID Perfumes Chairman and Chief Executive Ilia Lekach explained. “This debut fragrance collection is everything a signature scent should be: both a portrait and extension of the brand itself.”

That same year of the scent’s release, Levine shared his celebrity fragrance with DeGeneres while visiting her show. He created a cologne for men and a perfume for women that he seemed ultra-excited about.

“Is this relatively new?” DeGeneres asked Levine at the time. “It just came out, right?”

“It came out a few months ago,” Levine verified. “And the man’s, women can wear too. Because it’s not so overly-manly.”

DeGeneres roasted Levine for claiming he’d never create a celebrity fragrance

While Levine is certainly proud of his fragrances, DeGeneres took the opportunity to roast the celebrity for creating perfumes.

“While I’m smelling it, I’d like you to read this tweet that you sent out a little while ago,” DeGeneres said on her show while handing a piece of paper with one of Levine’s tweets printed on it.

“Yeah, this says … it’s from my Twitter account, March 5, 2011,” Levine starts. “And it says, quote, ‘I also would like to put an official ban on celebrity fragrances. Punishable by death from this point forward.’”

“You changed your mind,” DeGeneres carries on after embarrassing Levine. “People change their minds.”

“Yeah, money’s a powerful thing,” Levine admitted.

“It smells good, though!” DeGeneres attempted. “It does, it smells very nice. You shouldn’t be ashamed of that.”

“No, I’m down with it!” Levine added. “Are you kidding me? I love it.”

Fans love that Levine admitted to making the fragrance for money

It seems money was the driving factor for Levine getting into creating a celebrity fragrance — and we can’t blame him. While DeGeneres may have embarrassed him by introducing that tweet to him during the promotion of his product, fans commented that they loved his sense of humor.

“At least he is honest about money being the reason for it,” a fan commented on the clip.

“Let’s be real. A lot of people would sell out if it meant getting millions of dollars in the end,” another added.

“Ellen is awesome for busting him, but he handled it well, I think,” another wrote. “He was honest and made fun of himself, in a way. It was quite funny.”

We’re glad there doesn’t seem to be any bad blood between Levine and DeGeneres despite this awkward moment. And we’re sure Levine sold plenty of bottles of perfume to make the embarrassment worth it.

Jaden Smith Once Told Ellen DeGeneres He Was Going to 'Buy' His Parents' House and Give Them a 'Little Apartment'

The Smith family is in the headlines more than ever thanks to Red Table Talk. Now, we’re looking back when Jaden Smith first started gaining traction in Hollywood. He had his big break when starring in The Pursuit of Happyness with father Will Smith. And when he visited The Ellen DeGeneres Show back in 2008, he spoke quite candidly as a young kid.

Here’s what Jaden told Ellen DeGeneres about eventually hoping to purchase his parents’ home.

Jaden Smith first appeared on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ in 2008

While many know Jaden for his funky fashion and catchy music, he first attained fame as a young actor. Will needed someone to play his son in the movie The Pursuit of Happyness, and Jaden auditioned and got the part. Later on, he made his first of many appearances on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

While visiting the show, DeGeneres asked Jaden how he became involved in the movie. And DeGeneres asked the young kid if he was nervous at all being involved in such a huge production.

“I was surrounded by people that, I got to meet them, and we had a nice time,” Jaden said. “So I was surrounded by people I already knew. So it was just really fun.”

Then, DeGeneres asked Jaden if Will ever gives him advice.

“My dad gave me advice,” Jaden continued. “He said it’s not really acting. You have to be in the moment. It’s like, you have to not pretend to be what the guy’s doing, you have to do what the guy’s doing.”

Jaden told DeGeneres he planned on purchasing Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith’s house

Later in the interview, DeGeneres told Jaden he must be making quite a lot of earnings from his films.

“I understand you’re saving money for something special,” DeGeneres told Jaden. “What are you saving for?”

“I’m gonna buy my parents’ house,” the child admitted.

“You’re gonna buy your parents’ house from them?” DeGeneres clarified.

“From them, yes,” Jaden clarified. Then, when DeGeneres asked if Will and Jada Pinkett-Smith would be living with Jaden after he purchases their home, Jaden further explained he’d get them a new place. “No, I’m gonna give them a little apartment.”

“Will that be in the backyard?” DeGeneres continued. “Or, where will that apartment be?”

“Texas,” Jaden said with a deadpan expression while the audience roared with laughter.

He later bought his own place when he was 18 years old

If Jaden did, in fact, purchase his parents’ home when he was just 10 years old, he would’ve had quite the estate. The Smiths own a $42 million mansion in California that features custom details throughout 25,000 square feet. And prior to this place, Will and Jada owned homes in Hawaii they sold for up to $20 million.

Jaden never ended up buying his parents’ property. Instead, he bought his own place when he was 18. The $4 million home he purchased was within a gated community in Hidden Hills, California. It featured five bedrooms, six bathrooms, and a number of wealthy neighbors who reportedly didn’t love Jaden’s lifestyle.

“He has a sense of entitlement, bravado,” a neighbor allegedly told Daily Mail. “He doesn’t care if security reprimands him or gives him a warning, he just continues to do whatever he pleases.”

It looks like Jaden has plenty of personal goals that have nothing to do with owning his parents’ house now, too. And we’re very interested in how Will and Jada felt when they saw their young son telling DeGeneres he planned to buy them out of their estate.

Sarah Silverman and Her New Boyfriend Started Dating Mid-Pandemic Thanks to Call of Duty

Sarah Silverman is seeing someone new — and she didn't even have to leave her apartment.

During an appearance on Thursday's episode of the Ellen DeGeneres Show, the comedian revealed how her budding relationship began after she got back into video games when the coronavirus pandemic hit the U.S. in March.

"As the world was shutting down, I thought I should start playing video games again. It just made sense. This is the time," she said. "So I went to GameStop — it was still open — and I bought a console and couple of games. And I got really into this one, it's not the latest one but I love it — Call of Duty: WWII."

Silverman, 49, didn't name the guy but said someone she knew "peripherally" through mutual friends direct-messaged her on Twitter offering to play together online.

"We were both quarantining. So every night at 7:05 — I was in New York, so at 7 we would bang the pots and pans out on the fire escape. It really became just like a group primal scream. It was actually kind of beautiful to be in New York at that time," she recalled. "Then at 7:05, I'd put my headset on and I'd kill Nazis with this guy. Yadda yadda yadda, we're boyfriend and girlfriend!"

"He came out here and so he's living out here and it's great and make sweet love," she continued. "I feel like I'm jinxing it by talking about it on Ellen, but I can't help myself!"

Silverman split from actor Michael Sheen in late 2017 after about four years together. The former I Love You, America host said her current boyfriend has been "very patient" with her as she eases into the new relationship.

"I think I was single for a good amount of time and what I realized is I love being alone, I need to be alone, and I was afraid to give up any of that," she explained. "So far we've had two sleepovers, it went really well. Usually, I send him home and he's cool with it — so far, you know, early, they're always great. But I have my whole nighttime routine and it's like a date with myself and I'm nervous to give that up."

"I do my whole face routine and then I eat a big bowl of Grape Nuts while I watch Law & Order [episodes] I've seen myriad times," she continued. "These are the things that seem simple but I like them, I covet them, they get me to sleep. But when he did sleep over, I did those things and he just was there. It was alright. So who knows?"

Silverman has seemingly remained friendly with Sheen, 51. During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! in 2018, the actress opened up about their split to host Jimmy Kimmel, whom she has also dated. She said that she and Sheen were on good terms and had even met up in a "bro" setting.

"I'm good at separating that," she said. "I can't even imagine you as a sexual being anymore!"
