Randy Arozarena hit his seventh postseason home run to power the Tampa Bay Rays to their second World Series with a 4-2 victory over the Houston Astros in Game 7 of the American League Championship Series.
Arozarena hit a two-run home run in the first inning off of Lance McCullers Jr., tying a rookie record for most home runs in a postseason. Tampa Bay was up two runs early and tacked on some insurance later in the game.
SEAGER HOMERS AGAIN, DODGERS FORCE NLCS GAME 7 WITH 3-1 WIN
In the second inning, Mike Zunino hit a solo home run to put Tampa Bay up three runs. He would later contribute a sacrifice fly in the sixth inning to score Ji-Man Choi.
Charlie Morton got the start for the Rays and was taken out in the sixth inning with the Astros threatening. Nick Anderson would relive Morton much to the chagrin of Rays fans who thought Morton deserved to be out there even with two Astros runners on base.
Morton lasted 5 2/3 innings, allowed two hits and struck out six in 66 pitches.

Anderson got the out after pitching two scoreless innings, allowing just three hits and a walk. He was also relieved with Astros runners threatening. Peter Fairbanks came in for Anderson and walked the first batter he faced and then allowed a two-run single to Carlos Correa.
Luckily for the Rays, Fairbanks would get out of the jam and end Houston’s late push.
The Rays are in the World Series for only their second time in the franchise’s history. Last time, Tampa Bay lost to the Philadelphia Phillies in five games.
The team awaits the winner of Game 7 of the National League Championship Series between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Atlanta Braves.

You probably own most of these items in your closet.
I am the first to admit that I can be a procrastinator, even with things I enjoy — like picking out a Halloween costume. In August, you have all these ideas, but by the end of October, you haven’t even thought about going to the Halloween store. So if you’ve put off your costume selection until the last minute, here are some creative last minute Halloween costume ideas that you can probably pull from your closet of things you already own.
It’s not that I procrastinate Halloween costumes because I don’t have any ideas. In fact, usually the opposite is true. I have too many ideas, and not enough time or money to actually turn them into real costumes. Luckily, you can still put together some awesome and unique Halloween costumes the week, the day, or even the night before Halloween — I promise. The ideas I’ve put together either contain a lot of things you might already own (I think every woman owns at least one pair of flats or a black shirt), or items that can easily be bought on Amazon or at the mall. Ready for your costume to be a hit? Here is everything you need.
1. Basic Witch
This costume is just that — basic. All you need is a witchy black dress, a witch’s hat, your favorite pair of cozy boots, your phone, and, of course, your fave drink. Don’t forget to Snapchat all your spell casting!
2. Ash Ketchum From Pokémon
Costume: I choose you! Get yourself a short-sleeved blue hoodie, a pair of light-wash jeans, some cheap green mittens, Ash Ketchum’s signature hat, as well as a few Pokémon accessories — a Pikachu plush and a Pokéball.
3. Daria Morgendorffer From Daria
In times like these, Daria Morgendorffer from the MTV series Daria is pretty much the best role model any of us can have. Aspire to be more like the iconic (she would hate being called iconic) ’90s misanthropic teen by emulating her look, and pulling out this simple ensemble you probably already own.
4. Regina George From Mean Girls
Raise your hand if you’ve ever felt personally victimized by Regina George. You probably can’t, because she’s not a real person, and is instead a character from Mean Girls… but you can dress up as her for Halloween. Take on her most memorable look, which came about as a result of one of Janis Ian’s many attempts to sabotage Regina’s reputation: Janis cut two holes over the chest area of Regina’s tank top in an effort to embarrass her, but only ended up creating a trend when Regina rocked the ruined tank top. Buy a cheap white tank top yourself, cut two holes in it, wear a bright purple t-shirt bra underneath, and rock the look.
5. A Minion From Minions
Beedo, beedo, beedo! To dress up as a minion from Minions, it’s simple: Nab a yellow hoodie, overalls, some black tights, and you’re good to go.
6. Clark Kent From Superman
It’s a bird! It’s a plane! No, it’s your Halloween costume! Obviously, you’ll need a Superman shirt, but the only other components will be a white button-down and slacks.
7. Party Animal
Get it? Party like it’s 1999 with a leopard print dress, cat ears headband, heels, and a party hat to complete the punny look.
If all else fails, you can always be a sheet ghost.

First casualty of the 10pm curfew: 200-year-old brewer Greene King ‘will close 79 pubs and restaurants and axe 800 jobs’ after Covid causes slump in trade
Hundreds of jobs and scores of pubs are to be shut by Greene King after the 10pm coronavirus curfew and lockdown decimated custom
The company – which has more than 3,000 pubs across the country – today started a consultation process with 800 employees about a redundancy process.
Bosses at the firm, which has nearly 1,700 managed pubs and 1,000 tenanted venues, wants to redeploy affected staff wherever possible.
It wants to close 79 pubs and restaurants and are understood to believe one-third of them will be permanent.
A spokesperson said: ‘The continued tightening of the trading restrictions for pubs, which may last another six months, along with the changes to government support was always going to make it a challenge to reopen some of our pubs.
‘Therefore, we have made the difficult decision not to reopen 79 sites, including the 11 Loch Fyne restaurants we announced last week.
‘Around one-third will be closed permanently and we hope to be able to reopen the others in the future.
‘We are working hard with our teams to try and find them a role in another of our pubs wherever possible.
‘We urgently need the government to step in and provide tailored support to help the sector get through to the spring and prevent further pub closures and job losses.’
Greene King CEO Nick Mackenzie had warned the 10pm curfew would threaten pubs
Boris Johnson’s 10pm curfew has seen streets and businesses deserted in major cities
Greene King currently has 3,000 pubs across the country but says it is closing 79
The devastating news about the company – which is owned by Hong Kong business CK Asset Holdings – was first revealed by Sky News.
Greene King CEO Nick Mackenzie had warned two weeks ago the curfew would be a disaster for the pub industry.
Mr Mackenzie said: ‘Pubs are just starting to get back on their feet after lockdown and these new restrictions are a significant setback.
‘We urgently need the Government to extend the furlough scheme for hospitality venues and confirm what additional support it will provide to protect jobs and the future of pubs.
‘We made safety our priority when reopening and fewer than one per cent of our 1,700 managed pubs have been contacted by NHS Test and Trace since reopening in July, which demonstrates pubs are not disproportionately spreading cases and our measures are working.
‘Removing a key trading period and further damaging customer confidence looks set to cost us several million pounds per week, on top of already reduced customer numbers in our pubs to maintain social distancing.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson was challenged over the curfew in the commons today
‘Given these restrictions and likely timescales, we need support from the Government to avoid further job losses in the hospitality sector in addition to the 135,000 so far.’
In July, the pub group said it had invested £15million into pub safety as it prepared to open to customers once more from July 4.
The pub confirmed tables would be spaced out in line with government regulations and said customers would have to pay using a new Order and Pay app.
The business also said customers would be provided with one-time-use menus that could be disposed of in a sustainable way at the pub and cutlery would be wrapped.
It also said three days ago it was to launch a programme to raise awareness about slavery after admitting it was ‘inexcusable’ that its founder profited from the transatlantic slave trade.
The pub company said it would team up with the International Slavery Museum in Liverpool to ‘educate people about the shocking human exploitation which took place.’
The Suffolk-based business was founded in 1799 by Benjamin Greene who went on to own sugar plantations in the West Indies where he was a slave owner.
Born in 1780 in Northamptonshire, Benjamin Greene, went on to own three cane sugar plantations in the West Indies after he handed over his brewery company to his son Edward in 1836.
During the 1880s, the brewery founder, who profited from the labour of enslaved Africans, wrote columns in his own newspaper the Bury and Suffolk Herald where he defended his actions against campaigners for the abolition of slavery.
Despite his protestations, MPs finally passed the Slavery Abolition Bill in 1833, on the condition that slave-owners be given compensation for freeing their slaves.
Greene, who had at least 231 slaves, was among 47,000 people who benefited from the compensation and received the equivalent of £500,000 in today’s money.

Throughout its 2000-2007 run, Gilmore Girls served as a launching pad for a number of celebrities. It was Alexis Bledel’s first major role, and now she’s winning Emmys for The Handmaid’s Tale. It was also one of Bridesmaids‘ Melissa McCarthy first big parts, as well as This Is Us‘ Milo Ventimiglia. And of course, it’s where Jared Padelecki got his start before joining the CW’s long-running sci-fi show Supernatural (on which his brother just so happens to share a name with his Gilmore Girls character, Dean). But there are several teen stars who appeared on Gilmore Girlsthat you probably forgot about.
According to Vanity Fair, casting directors Mara Casey and Jami Rudofsky looked for two things in the actors they cast: they had to be funny, and they had to talk fast. Those were creator Amy Sherman-Palladino’s biggest requirements, and some of the attributes the show is best remembered for. It’s also what likely helped the actors who appeared on the series get noticed; a couple even left mid-show to be on bigger projects. In the grand scheme of things, Gilmore Girls is nothing but a blip on their résumés — though a pretty impressive blip nonetheless. Let’s look back.
Chad Michael Murray
For two seasons, Murray played Rory’s obnoxious but handsome private school classmate Tristan Dugray. She once shared a kiss with him, which may have developed into a longer fling if he hadn’t left in Season 2 to star on Dawson’s Creek (and of course, later join One Tree Hill). The show wrote Tristan out by saying that his dad was sending him to military school. Rory later dated Tristan 2.0, Logan Huntzberger (Matt Czuchry), at Yale.
Early in Schmidt’s career, he played a boy scout on Gilmore Girls Season 2, Episode 5 who wanted extra crispy fries from Luke’s diner. In Season 3, Episode 3, he returned to ask Luke to make him an old-fashioned ice cream drink. After his bit parts on the show, Schmidt starred on Nickelodeon’s Big Time Rush as a member of the band.
Before his days as Seth Cohen on The O.C., Brody played Lane Kim’s (Keiko Agena) boyfriend and bandmate Dave Rygalski on Gilmore Girls for most of Season 3. But once The O.C. came calling, Brody left the showbehind, with his character Dave fittingly moving to California. With Dave out of the picture, Lane developed a crush on her other bandmate Zack (Todd Lowe).
Justice was only 10 when she appeared as a guest at a child’s birthday party in Gilmore Girls Season 4, Episode 3. It was her first-ever role, and she eventually worked her way up to starring on Nickelodeon shows like Zoey 101 and Victorious.
Greenfield is now known for New Girl and his Ryan Murphy projects like American Horror Story and American Crime Story. But after briefly playing Dean’s friend in Gilmore Girls Season 4, Episode 4, he appeared as Michael on ABC Family’s teen dramedy Greek and as a young Sandy Cohen on The O.C.
Though best known for his role as Community‘s Abed, Pudi also appeared on Greek after playing Yale newspaper staffer in Gilmore Girls Season 6 and 7.
Marano played Luke’s secret daughter April Nardini in Seasons 6 and 7. Her sudden arrival in Luke’s life eventually destroyed his relationship with Lorelai, so Gilmore Girls fans tend to not like April (even though the revival revealed he and Lorelai still ended up together). But that’s no sweat off the back of Marano, who went on to appear in several other big projects, most notably the Freeform show Switched at Birth.
