Press sec Kayleigh McEnany once PRAISED Biden as 'man of the people' who middle class would prefer over 'tycoon' Trump

WHITE House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany attacks Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden regularly, but five years ago, she praised him as a “man of the people” with a greater appeal to middle class voters than Donald Trump.

McEnany’s comments from August 2015 when Biden was considering running for president were resurfaced by CNN’s KFile on Monday.

In an interview that aired on AM970 in New York, McEnany said she thought Republicans could “run into a problem if it is Joe Biden and if it is maybe a Trump on the other side.”

McEnany continued: ”Because Joe Biden, one of the things he is remarkable at is really kind of being a man of the people and resonating with middle class voters.”

She said Biden’s “gaffes—as much as we make fun of them—to a certain extent they make him look human,” and that “he’s likable.”

Asked if she thought Biden or former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton would be easier for Republicans to defeat in the 2016 presidential election, McEnany went with Biden.

“I think at the end of the day, probably Joe, although if Trump is against Joe, I think the juxtaposition of kind of the man of the people and kind of this tycoon, is a problem," she said.

"Although Donald Trump's remarkably coming off as a man of the people despite being this wealthy business tycoon."

McEnany also called Biden “likable” to the middle class a week prior to her AM970 interview, when speaking with Fox Business Network.

She predicted that Biden would be the Democratic presidential nominee—although Biden in the decided not to make a bid in 2016.

“When you have Joe Biden here who's funny and likable and can resonate with the middle class, he really can speak to the average, everyday American, versus Hillary Clinton who's cold and somber," McEnany said.

"Joe Biden is a human and people will resonate with that. I predict he will be the nominee.”

Regarding her prior praise of Biden, McEnany told CNN that she has since found out about his "profound personal corruption" and that he has become "an empty vessel for the liberal elites and far left.”

Earlier this month, she tweeted a link to a New York Post story revealing emails and photographs allegedly retrieved from Hunter Biden’s laptop and has continued to criticize the former vice president.

McEnany also uses President Trump’s rhetoric in bashing Biden, including that he is “sleepy.”

On Sunday, McEnany shared a video of Trump supporters at a Biden campaign event and claimed that the former vice president had fewer backers.

“AMAZING!! At JOE BIDEN’s ‘rally,’ President @realDonaldTrump’s supporters show up to start a counter-rally. Joe literally draws more Trump supporters than Joe supporters!!!” she tweeted.

‘Bang, on the phones’: Lygon Street businesses firing up for COVID-normal shopping and dining

The phone calls from loyal customers started before Premier Daniel Andrews had even left the podium on Monday afternoon.

A "flurry", said Tiamo restaurant proprietor Fab Succi, "like everyone was almost in panic mode".

"There's this sense of urgency with people trying to get back to normality and, you know what, I think they deserve it," he said.

The Lygon Street food strip in Carlton was buzzing on Tuesday morning with the news restaurants and cafes could resume taking customers from 11.59pm.

Capacity is limited to 20 people inside and a maximum of 50 outdoors, with strict social distancing protocols.

But Mr Succi has had to tell callers hankering for their first sit-down meal in months that his restaurant would not be reopening until Thursday.

"You need a couple days to cook up things fresh, you've got COVID training, you've got floor staff and pizza training, you've got to print off the menus, all these little expenses," Mr Succi said.

"It will be crazy, but that's what it should be."

A a few doors down, Salvatore Cultrera said his restaurant, Cafe Notturno, would begin serving customers from 6am on Wednesday.

"We watched [the press conference], then it was bang, on the phones: talking to managers, organising rosters, getting people ready," Mr Cultrera said.

"I rang most of my major suppliers. It was just scrambling on the phones."

Cafe Notturno has been open for takeaway throughout the second wave, but Mr Cultrera said getting people back into seats was "massive" for the business.

"Though, even then it's tough because we're still very limited," he said. "We'll rely on turnover [of customers] and I think people are pretty good about that. They understand."

Mr Cultrera said the biggest challenge was getting back staff at such short notice. Five workers, including himself, have been kept on JobKeeper, but some casuals, mostly students and international travellers, have been lost.

Retailers like Watt's Shoe Store, a family business for four generations, can also reopen from Wednesday.

Joe Watt and his mother Norma were in their Lygon Street store Tuesday morning, dusting off shoes and sweeping away the accumulated pollen that had crept in from beneath the doors during the store's 15-week customer hiatus.

"He's not a very good duster," Ms Watt said.

"It's a lot of work to do the window [displays]. Everything has to come out and everything has to go back. It's quite physical in some ways, but if the shoes are not in the windows people don't see them."

Mr Watt was able to keep the repair workshop open and moved whatever he could of the business to online, "but that's not enough to be able to survive," he said.

"We probably knew [reopening] was going to happen because of the numbers and now we just have to suddenly get going. It's a case of changing the mindset."

Navy issues safety 'stand down' for non-deployed aircraft

Fox News Flash top headlines for October 26

Fox News Flash top headlines are here. Check out what’s clicking on

The U.S. Navy has directed all non-deployed aviation units to "stand down" as of Monday in response to two separate crashes, including one in which two officers were killed.

Vice Adm. Kenneth Whitesell, commander of Naval Air Forces, said the pause will focus on improving safety measures.

"This stand down provides an opportunity for our aviation commands to focus on how to further improve operational risk management and risk mitigation across the Naval Aviation enterprise," a Navy statement said.

The move comes after two crewmembers on a Navy T-6B Texan II aircraft were killed when it crashed Friday in Foley, Ala. The aircraft is "a tandem-seat, turboprop trainer used to train Navy and Marine Corps pilots," according to the Navy.

The plane hit a house and two cars but no civilians were injured.

The two deceased crewmembers were identified as U.S. Navy Lt. Rhiannon Ross, 30, of Wixom, Mich., and Coast Guard Ensign Morgan Garrett, 24, of Weddington, N.C.

On Oct. 20, an F/A-18 Super Hornet crashed near Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake in California during flight training. The pilot safely ejected the plane.

Days before the Super Hornet crash, the Naval Safety Center said the Navy and Marine Corps had gone a whole fiscal year without a single aviation-related fatality in nearly a century.

“After 98 years of recorded aviation history, this unprecedented milestone serves as testimony to the Naval Aviation Enterprise’s tireless commitment toward fostering a safety culture of excellence,” Rear Adm. F.R. “Lucky” Luchtman, Naval Safety Center commander, said in a news release.

It was not clear how long the stand down will last. The cause of both crashes are under investigation.

"We remain the greatest aviation force in the world and are committed to learning from these incidents in order to avoid these tragedies in the future," the Navy said.

Cowboys' Mike Nolan stops media call after hot sauce accident

Previewing NFL Week 7 on FOX

FOX Sports NFL reporter Jen Hale weighs in.

The Dallas Cowboys with a record of two wins and five losses appear to be headed in a downward spiral through seven weeks of the 2020 NFL season, and defensive coordinator Mike Nolan dealt with something just as painful on Monday afternoon.

Nolan had to stop a conference call on Monday after he accidentally wiped his eye with one of his fingers that had Tabasco sauce on it, according to multiple reports.

"My eye feels a lot better," Nolan told reporters when he returned. "But it was burning."

There was a ton of reaction on social media from people all over the football world.

The Cowboys suffered a brutal 25-3 loss to the Washington Football Team on Sunday. Nolan’s defense is the worst in the league statistically, allowing a league-worst 34.7 points per game so far this season.

Dallas will face NFC East rival the Philadelphia Eagles next on "Sunday Night Football."

Kaitlyn Bristowe Is Cruella de Vil in 'DWTS' Paso Doble

Dancing With the Stars went spooky for Villains Night — and Kaitlyn Bristowe’s costume couldn’t be more up her alley. The former Bachelorette and proud dog mom channeled Cruella de Vil for a Paso Doble with her partner, Artem Chigvintsev.

“I’ve always loved 101 Dalmatians, but I could not be more opposite than Cruella de Vil,” Kaitlyn said in a pre-dance package, opening up about how she rescued her two dogs, Ramen and Pinot, from South Korea.

Kaitlyn and Artem brought some power to the ballroom as they danced it out to “Disturbia” by Rihanna, which is just what Kaitlyn was hoping to deliver.

“I feel like this is the time to show the judges I can hit those moves harder,” she said, referencing the judges’ comments last week about her having to “attack” her dances more.

The pair’s performance impressed judge Derek Hough, who called the performance a “great way to end the show.”

However, Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba wanted more.

“You are a good dancer and I saw you trying really hard tonight. But what didn’t go right was the lift and … it felt like at moments you gave up. I felt like your spirit dropped,” Carrie Ann said. “I don’t want to discourage you, because you are a great dancer, but it was another not great dance of yours.”

“For me, I know you’re very good, but it felt rushed,” Bruno shared.

Kaitlyn and Artem earned a score of 24/30 for their performance.

There are 101 things we love about this! We're ONE HOUR away from #VillainsNight on ABC. #DWTS @kaitlynbristowe

A post shared by Dancing With The Stars #DWTS (@dancingabc) on

Kaitlyn and Artem have been killing it week after week on DWTS. Their Samba last week earned them three 9s, for a total of 27/30, and completely surprised Kaitlyn — especially after Carrie Ann critiqued her for holding back when it comes to dancing with her full range of emotions.

“I was not expecting the 9 [from Carrie Ann], so when that happened I was like, ‘OK, now I really want to show her next week that I can do it,” Kaitlyn told ET after the show.

Dancing With the Stars airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.

Sex with my post-baby bootcamp trainer has made me realise I want to be single

DEAR DEIDRE: HAVING hot sex with my bootcamp teacher has made me realise I don’t want to be with my partner any more.

I’m a woman of 28 and my fella is 31. We had a good relationship until my daughter was born.

I lost body-confidence but then one of my baby-mum friends suggested I join the “post-baby bootcamp” classes she goes to.

It was outside, on a sports field, because of social distancing restrictions. It was fun but as it got to the end of the class, I slipped on some mud and twisted my ankle.

The instructor was lovely. He’s 25 and he elevated my foot and strapped it up for me but said he’d feel happier if I had it checked. He helped me to his car and ran me to the local hospital.

It was just a sprain in the end but extremely painful. I was in tears when the porter pushed me in a wheelchair back to the car and my waiting instructor.

He told me he’d look after me and took me back to his house, as he wanted to find me a reusable ice pack he knew he had. We went inside for him to look for it.

I was still a bit teary as I said how grateful I was, when he hugged me then kissed me.

I’ve never been unfaithful before but it was lovely to feel wanted.

I lost all my inhibitions and we had sex. It took me back to how sex used to be before I had my daughter and it felt incredible.

He said he’d like to see me again. Since then we’ve been meeting up for sex when I take my daughter out in the pram for her nap time. Sex with my partner is OK but I don’t feel we have that spark any more. I doubt now it will come back.

I want to be single again and not stuck with the same guy. I don’t want to break my partner’s heart — but I know I would be happier alone.

DEIDRE SAYS: You are in the grip of your new sexual attraction to your instructor but that is distorting your thinking – and you also risk transmitting the virus.

Life as a single parent isn’t all about seeing your new lover. It can feel very hard and lonely – and you owe it to your little girl to try, at least, to make things work with your partner.

Being a parent brings great changes but remember you are still a couple, not just Mum and Dad.

Tell your lover you are going to stop seeing him while you focus on your relationship and decide whether it is make or break.

Find a quiet moment to tell your partner you are unhappy and ask how he is feeling.

My e-leaflet on Sex Problems After A Baby can help you rediscover the spark in your relationship. But make a real effort to organise your evenings to get couple time together, too.

The strong painkillers she is on don’t seem to work.

I have told my dad but he just says: “Not again.”

He doesn’t seem to care. Since her own mum died Mum is depressed and doesn’t  want to do anything.

The real reason Emily Ratajkowski isn’t revealing her baby’s gender

Supermodel and mother-to-be Emily Ratajkowski has decided, along with her husband Sebastian Bear-McClard, not to reveal the gender of her baby — and there’s a pretty powerful reason behind their choice. In an Oct. 26, 2020 essay for Vogue, the model announced her pregnancy and discussed why she and her husband have decided against revealing the gender of their baby to both the public and friends. While most would assume their choice was born from their desire for privacy, Ratajkowski said she does not intend to reveal the gender until long after the baby is born.

Whatever baby’s gender turns out to be, Ratajkowski will surely make a great mom and she’s understandably excited to welcome her new baby to the world in a couple of months. “I used to use magical thinking whenever I wanted something to go a certain way. Now, though, I don’t try to envision a pink or blue blanket in my arms,” Ratajkowski wrote about her pregnancy. “I’m too humbled to have any false notions of control… Instead of feeling afraid, I feel a new sense of peace. I’m already learning from this person inside my body. I’m full of wonder.”

Read on to find out why Emily Ratajkowski and Sebastian Bear-McClard will not be revealing the gender of their little one.

Emily Ratajkowski believes there is more to her child than its gender

Emily Ratajkowski and her husband Sebastian Bear-McClard are expecting! However, the baby’s gender remains a mystery to both the public and the couple. In a Vogue essay, Ratajkowski said she does not want to reveal or know the sex of the baby because she believes there is more to her child’s identity than its sex. “When my husband and I tell friends that I’m pregnant, their first question after ‘Congratulations’ is almost always ‘Do you know what you want?'” Ratajkowski began her essay. “We like to respond that we won’t know the gender until our child is 18 and that they’ll let us know then.”

She said most people laugh at this, but that there is truth behind it. She goes on to discuss how gender stereotypes and expectations impacted her childhood and said she wants to put as little pressure on her child as possible. “I don’t like that we force gender-based preconceptions onto people, let alone babies. I want to be a parent who allows my child to show themself to me,” Ratajkowski explained.

Considering her passion for social activism, it is no surprise that Ratajkowski is taking a progressive approach to parenting and she is also not the first celebrity to decide to raise their kids gender neutral. Ratajkowski has already mastered the art of being cool and fans are genuinely excited for her to take on motherhood in her own unique way.

Iggy Azalea Defends Ex Playboi Carti Against Deadbeat Dad Accusations

Hoping on Instagram Stories, the ‘Fancy’ hitmaker makes it clear that her rapper ex-beau is pretty much involved in Onyx’s lives after saying that she’s raising their child alone.

AceShowbiz -Even though Iggy Azalea and Playboi Carti are no longer in a relationship, the female emcee lets people know that she still stands by his side when people make the wrong assumption about him. Most recently, the “Whole Lotta Red” rapper was accused of being a deadbeat dad to their son, Onyx, and Iggy immediately jumped to his defense.

It all started after Iggy confirmed their split through a post on Instagram Stories. “What I meant last night was that I’m raising my son alone & I’m not in a relationship,” she said, prompting people to jump into conclusions that Carti was not helping her parent their child.

For instance, one person said, “Carti is actually a deadbeat. this mf wouldn’t take care of his fans and now his kid lmaoo.” One other echoed, “Breaks my heart to see carti go deadbeat. I wanted to see dadboi carti,” while another commented, “Carti a deadbeat dad and a deadbeat rapper who don’t drop music bro pick a struggle.”

Seeing all the responses from social media users, Iggy later returned to the photo-sharing site to clarify that Carti is pretty much involved in Onyx’s life. “Nothing I said was intended to make it seem like my sons father isn’t part of his life but I’ve noticed a lot of people took it that way, so I wanted to clear the air,” she said. “Onyx is so loved by his dad & has always had both parents in his life from day 1.”

Iggy and Carti started dating in 2018 and sparked engagement rumors after some time, but neither of them has responded to this rumor considering they were pretty private about their relationship. This also applied to the “Fancy” hitmaker’s pregnancy, as she only confirmed the speculation two months after she reportedly gave birth.

50 Cent just did a full 180 on President Trump

Scratch that! 50 Cent retracted his endorsement of President Donald Trump after he was slammed by ex-girlfriend and comedian Chelsea Handler during an appearance on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon

“So he doesn’t want to pay 62 percent in taxes because he doesn’t want to go from ’50 Cent’ to ’20 Cent’ and I had to remind him that he was a Black person, so he can’t vote for Donald Trump,” Handler quipped on the show on Oct. 23, 2020 (via Newsweek). “He shouldn’t be influencing an entire swath of people who may listen to him because he’s worried about his own personal pocketbook.”

Perhaps Handler’s outspoken interview changed the rapper’s mind because he later took to social media to respond to his ex’s appearance on the late show and denounce the president. (We think.) “What, another spin. F*ck Donald Trump, I never liked him,” 50 Cent tweeted the day after Handler’s digs. “For all I know he had me set up and had my friend Angel Fernandez killed but that’s history. LOL @chelseahandler @jimmyfallon.”

Despite his retraction, some fans were still offended that 50 Cent had previously supported the president. “Wished our black celebs would have found a better candidate to run,” one Twitter user wrote to the artist. “Damn band together and endorse someone who we can trust to have our best interest in mind.”

Scroll below to see what else 50 Cent has said about President Trump.

50 Cent favored Donald Trump's tax plan

Before 50 Cent denounced President Donald Trump, the rapper had previously told voters he was supporting the real estate mogul, fearing Joe Biden’s tax plan would increase his taxes.

“WHAT THE F*CK! (VOTE ForTRUMP) IM OUT,” 50 Cent tweeted on Oct. 19, 2020. “F*** NEW YORK The KNICKS never win anyway. I don’t care Trump doesn’t like black people 62% are you out of ya f***ing mind.” Along with his words, 50 Cent shared a graphic from the CNBC program Power Lunch that illustrated how Biden’s plan would reportedly increase taxes by 62 percent for the wealthiest New Yorkers, according to a Tax Foundation analysis. “Yeah, I don’t want to be 20 cent. 62% is a very, very, bad idea. I don’t like it!” the rapper and business mogul tweeted.

Following the artist’s endorsement, many slammed 50 Cent for supporting Trump, while others rejoiced. “Of course the guy whose name is literally *an amount of money* cares more about that than black lives, LGBTQ rights or kids in cages. #50Cent,” voice actress Grey DeLisle tweeted. “You used to be my favorite ex-boyfriend,” Chelsea Handler replied at the time. On the other side, conservative personality Tomi Lahren praised the rapper: “And @50cent just said, ‘Vote Trump’ after seeing what Slow Joe’s tax rates will be! Let’s go!!!” Trump’s senior legal advisor, Jenna Ellis, also joined in on the celebration. “Welcome to TEAM TRUMP,” she tweeted. “Protecting our liberty, freedom, and prosperity!!!”

50 Cent has sent mixed messages about Donald Trump

While 50 Cent revealed his prior stance n support of Donald Trump was for financial reasons, the rapper was slammed by some for not thinking about the greater good.

“Very disappointing. I’m a teacher and would pay half of my small salary in taxes to ensure Biden is elected and is helping ALL Americans. The level of greed of some multimillionaires is stunning,” one Twitter user commented on the businessman’s post. “I’m sorry, but the rich and privileged SHOULD be paying more in taxes than the everyday person who is only earning minimum wage,” someone else tweeted.

Although 50 Cent may prefer Trump’s tax plan, he has criticized the president throughout his four years in office. During a 2019 appearance on The Late Late Show With James Corden, the artist revealed he was offered half a million dollars to attend Trump’s presidential inauguration in 2017 but declined the incentive. “I didn’t do it because I didn’t know if I could fix the damage,” he said. “Don’t bring me to fix the African American vote. Pick somebody else.”

Additionally, 50 Cent sat with Larry King in 2018 and admitted he was perplexed when Trump won the presidency. “I don’t know how he got elected to begin with. … I mean, it’s a tough job,” he said, adding that Trump has the “attitude of a rapper” because he’s always “bluffing.” He added, “Just saying things that you aren’t necessarily going to back up but you’re saying it.”
