DEAR DEIDRE: I LOVE my husband but he works in a food processing plant and I have been avoiding sex with him as I’m frightened of catching Covid.
I know they are supposed to be following Covid-secure guidelines but there are lots of young people working there and I’m not convinced they are keeping to the rules.
My husband is 42 and I’m 39.
I worry this is damaging our relationship.
He says he’s trying to be patient but thinks I’m over-reacting as I have no special health issues.

DEIDRE SAYS: I can understand your fears but if you’ve not had sex since the start of the pandemic, that would put a strain on your relationship.
If he follows all the guidelines himself at work and strips off his clothes as soon as he gets home from work, puts them straight into the washing machine and immediately jumps into the shower, then he should be clean and virus-free.
