Foodie shares easy Lotus Biscoff mousse recipe that uses just two ingredients

A food lover has shared a simple Lotus Biscoff recipe that is perfect as an after dinner dessert – and you only need two ingredients to make it.

Eloise Head, the creative brain behind the popular Instagram account Fitwaffle Kitchen, said it only takes about 20 minutes to make a caramelised mousse and there isn't much work to do.

All you need is 150g of Lotus Biscoff spread and 375ml double cream.

To start with, Eloise uses a handheld mixer to beat the double cream to a light texture before adding in the Lotus Biscoff spread and mixing some more.

"Then pop this in the fridge for about 20 minutes and later you can serve it however you wish," Eloise says.

If you are after a slight crumbly texture in the mousse, you can place some Biscoff biscuit crumbles at the bottom before dropping the mousse in.

Eloise adds a few marshmallows as toppings but you can customise the sweet treat however you like.

With an extra biscuit on top as a final touch, the dessert is ready to serve.

The food influencer wrote: "This is super easy and quick to make and it’s so delicious!

"I’ve gone on a bit of a Biscoff frenzy recently but if you don’t like Biscoff, this will also work perfectly with Nutella!"

Food lovers were bookmarking the recipe for dinner parties, with one jokingly said: "I've died and gone to heaven."

Another commented: "Oh yum! They'd make great Christmas desserts."
