MAGIC SAINT 5/5 STARS

CAN cast a spell. He has to lumber top weight in this, but back at his favourite trip of two miles he looks a class above. His trainer Paul Nicholls is in red-hot form and this might just be the last time we see him in handicap company.

GINO TRAIL 1

WRONG path. This veteran tends to need a run before he fires and he gives weight away to some smart horses. He's now 13 and not getting any younger.

CAPELAND 3

NO superhero. Very smart on his day and looks well treated on best form. But struggles for consistency. Cheekpieces may help his jumping as let him down last time.

FIRST FLOW 4

SECOND best. Still lightly-raced for age and should be more to come this season. The more rain the better and he could well chase the favourite home.

DRUMCONNOR LAD 2

NOT the man. In the form of his life but saves his best for Ayr and this is a different test all together. The claim of super Kevin Brogan is no harm though.

MURRACUDJA 3

CUD spring surprise. One of the livelier outsiders as handicapper given a chance again. Has the benefit of two runs this season and should hit stride now. Can't be ruled out at decent odds.

ABBEY MAGIC 3

SPELLS danger. Has come alive since sent chasing and this Irish raider has to be respected. Lightly-raced for a nine-year-old she could well still be on the up. This is toughest test by far though.

AMOOLA GOLD 3

SILVER at best. Has ironed out some quirks this season and has strung together two wins as a result. Won nicely here last time but given a peach of a ride and up against it in this company now. Needs to find more.
